Kamal Haasan: The actor to team up with director Lokesh Kanagaraj?

Lokesh Kanagaraj has catapulted himself into the league of one of the most sought after directors in the Tamil film industry. His second film Kaithu has opened to an impressive response from the masses. The film was released in the theatres alongside the film Bigil on the auspicious occasion of Diwali. Reportedly the Maanagaram director will now collaborate with megastar Kamal Haasan for his next project. Lokesh is currently busy with the shooting of his upcoming film, Thalapathy 64. He will reportedly start working on the film with Kamal soon after wrapping up the project. According to media reports, the director got a call from Raaj Kamal Films for the project.

Lokesh Kanagaraj has admitted that he is a huge Kamal Haasan fan

Lokesh was a big fan of the Kamal Haasan starrer Ulaganayagan so he gave a nod to the film. However, the filmmaker has not cleared the ongoing speculations on whether he will direct the actor or will helm a film which will be bankrolled by him. Reportedly, Lokesh had earlier admitted that he is an ardent fan of Kamal and his contribution to the film industry has also influenced his style of filmmaking. The filmmaker also revealed that his latest film, Kaithu was inspired by the superstar's film, Virumandi.

Kamal Haasan will soon be seen in the film Indian 2

If the film is materialised by the duo, then it is expected to go on floors after the shoot of Thalapathy 64. According to sources, the Tamil Big Boss contestant Tharshan will also play a pivotal role in the film. On the work front, Kamal will soon be seen in some interesting lines of films ahead. He will be seen in films like Indian 2 and Thalaivan Irukkindraan. The actor will also be seen in a sequel of the film, Thevar Magan. The Chachi 420 actor has recently completed 60 iconic years in the Indian film Industry.

The actor will be celebrating his birthday tomorrow on November 7, 2019. The megastar has been giving a glorious contribution to the film industry since the age of five. In a career spanning 60 years, Haasan has dabbled as a film actor, dancer, film director, screenwriter, producer, playback singer and lyricist in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, Hindi and Bengali films.
