Kangana Ranaut takes dance lessons for her upcoming film 'Thalaivi'

Kangana Ranaut's movie choices are very distinct in Bollywood and they certainly stand out from the others, for a variety of reasons. Her performance in her last film Judgementall Hai Kya is highly lauded by audiences and critics alike, as the numbers from box office reports and ratings from critics speak for themselves. Currently, Kangana is gearing up for her upcoming film Thalaivi. It is a biopic based on the life late J Jayalalithaa. Previously a South Indian actor, she went on to become one of the most successful Chief Ministers of Tamil Nadu. Kangana is leaving no stone in preparing for her role in the biopic.

The Gangster actor recently shared a few photos from her Bharat Natyam dance lessons on her social media account. Kangana is seen in a simple, printed pink and blue ethnic salwar suit and tied-up hair for her dance training. Reports say she is doing her best to get into the skin of her character and is currently busy taking classical dance lessons.

Bharat Natyam originates from Tanjore district in the state of Tamil Nadu. Kangana is learning the dance form from Gayatri Raghuram, who is a very popular actor, filmmaker and dance choreographer in the South.

• The film is being produced by Shaailesh R Singh.
• Arwind Swami, a popular name in the South film industry, will be essaying the role of the renowned late politician MG Ramachandran.
• It will be the first time that Kangana will be paired opposite Arwind Swami.
• The shooting of the film will be commencing from the first week of November in Mysuru.
• Thalaivi will be directed by AL Vijay.
• It is speculated that Vidya Balan has been previously approached for the lead role. However, the producer of the film has cleared the air about the fake news in an interview given to a leading publication.
