Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor are currently in Chandigarh shooting for the much-awaited film Laal Singh Chaddha. The two actors who were last seen in '3 Idiots' were spotted on the sets shooting for 1994 film Forrest Gump's Hindi remake. While Kareena's look wearing a simple kurta-salwaar was leaked on social media, Aamir Khan was captured sitting in the garden with his team.
The film, inspired by Paramount Pictures' Tom Hanks-starrer "Forrest Gump", marks Aamir and Kareena's third collaboration after "3 Idiots" and "Talaash". Secret Superstar helmer Advait Chandan is directing the film, while actor Atul Kulkarni is attached as a writer.
On collaborating with Aamir for the third time, Kareena in an interview said: "The film is very special to me. It's going to be an absolute honour to be in the same frame as Aamir because I've always been a huge fan of him. It's always been a dream come true to work with him. He is a cinematic genius and sharing a frame with him again would be an absolute dream come true again."
"Laal Singh Chaddha" is produced by Aamir Khan Productions and Viacom18 Motion Pictures. The film will hit the theatres on Christmas 2020.
"Forrest Gump", directed by Robert Zemeckis, is a 1994 American comedy-drama film based on the 1986 novel of the same name by Winston Groom. The story depicts several decades in the life of Forrest Gump (Hanks), a slow-witted but kind-hearted man from Alabama who witnesses and unwittingly influences several defining historical events in the 20th century in the United States.
