Farhan Akhtar is one of the talented artists in the Hindi film industry who has excelled in various fields of cinema as a screenwriter, director, producer, singer, and actor. He is the son of famous screenwriters Javed Akhtar and Honey Irani. Farhan has made his own identity in the film industry for his cherished filmography. National Award

National Award is known to be one of the most eminent award ceremonies in the country. Every year, artists receive it for their contribution to the respective fields. Farhan Akhtar was the recipient of the National Award for Best Feature Film In Hindi, for his musical drama Rock On!! The film was archived at Academy Film Archive Library.

Filmfare Award

The first is always special as its memory stays with you forever. Farhan Akhtar won his first Filmfare Award in the Best Screenplay category for the new age drama film Dil Chahta Hai. The film has received a cult status over the last decade. It features Aamir Khan, Akshaye Khanna and Saif Ali Khan in leading roles. It was also the directorial debut of Farhan Akhtar.

Producers Guild Awards

The 45-yea-old actor received his first Producers Guild Award for his film Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara in the Best Actor in a Supporting Role category. The film was a super-hit at the box office in 2012. Farhan portrayed the character of Imran who is a writer and re-unites with his friends for a long road trip to search for his biological father.

Neuchatel International Fantastic Film Festival Awards

NIFFF is a renowned Swiss film festival which began in the year 2000 to celebrate films from different parts of the world. Farhan Akhtar received the award in the Best Film category for 2006 action-thriller Don: The Chase Begins Again. It was his third film as a director. Shah Rukh Khan portrayed the main lead in the film.

GQ Men of the Year
