Kangana Ranaut is one of the few actors who have successfully pulled off strong women-oriented movies. She has also featured in the Forbes India's Celebrity 100 list. The actor has portrayed some great characters on-screen. She has also been awarded National Film Award for Best Supporting Actress for her performance in Fashion and Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut. Kangana's films have set the box office on fire. Tanu Weds Manu Returns

Tanu weds Manu Returns is the sequel to the 2011 romantic drama film Tanu Weds Manu. The film was a box office success and successfully entered the  ₹ 200 crores club. It is considered as one of the best films in Kangana's career so far. The film was directed by Anand L. Rai and produced under the banner of Eros International. Kangana received the National Award for Best Actress for the film.

Manikarnika – The Queen of Jhansi

Manikarnika is known to be one of the bravest performances by Kangana Ranaut to date. It is a period drama film based on the life of the queen of Jhansi. It was released across 3700 screens and crossed the ₹ 100 crore mark at the box office. It opened up to a positive critical response. It was also India's entry for the Bucheon International Film Festival.

Judgementall Hai Kya

Judgementall Hai Kya is the recent hit film in which the actor features in a leading role of a dubbing artist who is haunted by disturbing childhood memories. She was paired opposite Rajkummar Rao. The black-comedy film went on to receive positive reviews by the critics as well as fans. The film has a worldwide gross collection of  ₹ 44.92 crores.  It is directed by Prakash Kovelamudi and written by Kanika Dhillon.

Queen

Queen was a turning point in Kangana's career. The 2014 comedy-drama is directed by Vikas Bahl. The unique storyline of the film was highly praised by viewers. The film was reportedly made on a very tight budget and crossed the ₹  100 crore mark at the box office and left everyone surprised. Kangana won the Filmfare Award for the Best Actress.
