Sangwan, who hails from Haryana, had come to Mumbai to try his luck in the film industry, he said.

"He wanted to be an actor and thought that Ekta Kapoor can give him an opportunity to work. He used to follow her in Juhu and Andheri areas and demand a role," the official said.

Sangwan also became a member of a gym, where Kapoor went for workouts. He was earlier warned by her guards to stay away from her, Gaikwad added.
