Mardaani 2: A look back at the film's first part

The makers of the film have announced its second instalment 'Mardaani 2', which will be releasing on December 13, 2019. The teaser of the film recently released on social media.

Story: The film revolved around the life of Shivani Shivaji Roy, a strong female cop from Mumbai who tracks down the mastermind behind the vicious racket of child trafficking in the city. The movie was filled with intense scenes and worked on the lines of a massive social issue. Though the entire movie kept the audience on the edge of their seats, some scenes from the film left a mark. Even though a few scenes were disturbing, they embarked the tale of victory over the evil ideology primarily.

The Blackmailing Scene: The whole ruckus starts when Karan kidnaps a girl named Pyaari from the streets, whom Shivani personally and treats as her own child. The purpose of Pyaari's kidnapping is to extract money via her through his business of child trafficking. When Shivani gets the news of Pyaari's kidnapping, the cop promises herself to rescue Pyaari back from the world of child trafficking by challenging Karan. In a series of events, both Shivani and Karan try their best to threaten each other. Karan sends Pyaari’s finger to Shivani in order to stop working on her case otherwise he would kill Pyaari. To Karan’s surprise, Shivani becomes more determined to save Pyaari and creates a full-fledged rescue plan.

The Climax: When Shivani finally gets hold of Walt/Karan, the main villain of the film after overcoming many obstacles in her way, she goes all out and rescues a group of young girls, who were being forced to become escorts. The action sequence is supremely impactful and hard-hitting. Shivani bashes Karan until he becomes helpless. Later she asks the girls who were penalized by him to take over and remove all their internal frustrations by beating up Karan.
