Marjaavaan: Tara Sutaria steals show, here's all about her character

The makers of the film have released a video of the making of Tara Sutaria's character Zoya as they laud the actor's efforts for portraying a challenging role.

Marjaavaan, directed by Milap Zaveri, is set to release in theaters on November 15. As part of their promotions, the makers have released videos of the making of its characters. Tara Sutaria's character Zoya was unveiled earlier today as the central character of the film. The film features actors Siddharth Malhotra and Riteish Deshmukh in the lead roles opposite Tara Sutaria.

The makers touted Tara Sutaria as the soul of the film as her character Zoya is weaved into the central plot of the film. She plays the role of a mute Kashmiri girl who teaches music to the children in the neighborhood. Tara Sutaria has left no stone unturned in her preparation for the character as it is revealed that she spent months learning sign language for communicating to do justice to the character. The actor has no dialogues but is lauded by both her co-stars for expressing through her eyes.

Marjaavaan is written and directed by Milap Milan Zaveri under the banner of T-Series Production along with Emmay Entertainment. The director and producer duo was last seen in 2018, for the film Satyamev Jayate. Sidharth Malhotra, Riteish Deshmukh, and Milap Zaveri had previously worked together in Ek Villain. In fact, the makers have cast them in similar roles for Marjaavaan where Riteish will be seen as the negative lead and Siddharth as the heroic character.

What's next for Tara Sutaria?

Marjaavaan is Tara Sutaria's second film, after her Bollywood debut Student of the Year 2. The film will release in Indian theaters on November 15. The actor is currently filming for Milan Luthria's romantic action film Tadap in which she will be seen opposite veteran actor Suniel Shetty's son Ahaan Shetty. The film is reportedly a remake of Telugu film RX100.
