MS Dhoni Birthday: Preity Zinta digs out an old superhero picture to wish 'Captain Cool'

As Mahendra Singh Dhoni turned 38 years old on Sunday, Bollywood actress Preity Zinta extended birthday greetings to the former Cricket team captain with an interesting throwback picture.

Former Indian Cricket Team captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni is celebrating his 38th birthday on Sunday, July 7. To mark the day, Bollywood actress Preity Zinta extended heartfelt greetings to the longest-serving wicket-keeper on social media. The actress took to Twitter and shared an interesting throwback picture where both of them can be seen posing donning quirky superhero costumes. 

The picture dig out by the actress happens to be from some ad-archive, in which a younger MSD can be seen all decked up in a brown cream costume with a cape, and Preity can be seen complimenting him donning a silver black attire with a red superhero cape.

Sharing the picture on Twitter Priety wrote, "Happy Birthday #MSDhoni! Wish you all the success & happiness always."

Meanwhile, Mahi was seen celebrating his birthday with wife Sakshi Dhoni, daughter Ziva, and the Indian cricket team. They were seen cutting the cake at and kick-starting the celebration right at 12 am.

Known for being lightning fast behind the stumps, helicopter shots, and most importantly his cricketing wits and smarts make MS Dhoni one of the biggest icons the game of cricket has seen. He has won all cricketing accolades including captaining India to triumph at the 2011 ODI World Cup, 2007 T20 World Cup, and Champions Trophy. No other captain has achieved this feat.

'Mahi' as he is amicably known made his debut in 2004 against Bangladesh. He was handed over the captaincy in 2007 and in his very first assignment he led the Men in Blue to lifting the 2007 T20 World Cup. There was no looking back after that, Dhoni became an unstoppable force. MS Dhoni-led India in 200 ODIs, of which India won 110 matches. At home, he captained the team to 43 wins out of 73 matches. Till now, MS Dhoni has represented India in 90 Tests, 348 ODIs and 98 T20Is and has scored more than 10,000 ODI runs, and near about 5,000 runs in Test cricket. He also has a record of affecting most stumpings (123).
