Nana Patekar is one of the few actors who has had quite an impressive journey in Bollywood so far despite a lot of ups and downs. The veteran actor is one of the finest in the country and has contributed immensely to Hindi and Marathi cinema over the last three decades. Parinda (1989)

Parinda has received a 'cult’ status in the last two decades. It is co-written and directed by Vidhu Vinod Chopra. It is known for introducing realism into mainstream cinema. Nana played the movie's antagonist. For this movie, he has won the Filmfare award for the Best Supporting Actor.

Khamoshi (1996)

This film is the directorial debut of Sanjay Leela Bhansali which also stars Salman Khan and Manisha Koirala as its leading pair. Nana played a deaf and mute guy in the film who faces constant challenges and hardships in life. His performance is praised by the critics till date.

Bluffmaster (2005)

It is a romantic-comedy film which is a 2005 release and directed by Rohan Sippy. Nana's character at the end of the movie gives you more than expected. He plays a thug named Chandru with full conviction and excellence.

Taxi No. 9211 (2006)

This 2006 comedy-thriller is a Milan Lutharia directorial. John Abraham plays the other lead in the film. Nana Patekar portrays the character of a common man who drives a taxi with brilliance. His portrayal of a messy character in different shades has been praiseworthy.

Welcome (2007)

The actor will be always remembered for his character of the underworld don Uday Shetty in the 2007 comedy-drama film. The film is directed by Anees Bazmee. The actor has received a lot of appreciation from movie lovers for his role. The character played by him added another feature to his cap.
