Dhruv Vikram to make his debut in Arjun Reddy remake Adithya Varma

Adithya Varma is an upcoming Tamil language film that will star Dhruv Vikram in the lead role. Dhruv Vikram is the son of popular south Indian actor Kennedy John Victor, also known as Chiyaan Vikram. This will be the debut film of Dhruv Vikram, marking his entry into the Tamil film industry. The film Adithya Varma is going to be a remake of an older Telugu movie. 

All about Adithya Varma, Dhruv's debut film

Adithya Varma is a Tamil remake of the Telugu film Arjun Reddy. This is the second remake of Arjun Reddy, which was previously remade in Bollywood and was titled Kabir Singh and starred popular actor Shahid Kapoor in the lead role. The Tamil movie will be a romantic drama just like the original film. Gireesaaya will be directing the movie and Mukesh Mehta will be producing it. October actress Banita Sandhu has bagged the female lead in the film.

The movie was originally being directed by Bala and was titled, Varma. However, due to creative differences, Bala moved away from the project and the entire film was replanned. The whole cast for the film was changed except for Dhruv who retained his lead role. Music director Radhan was also retained between the old and new version.

Both Arjun Reddy and Kabir Singh had exactly the same plots and, likely, Adithya Varma will also not stray away from the story either. The movie will be about a house surgeon who has aggressive tendencies that get him into trouble. It will then tell the story of how he falls in love and how he deals with his extreme personality. 

The cast of Adithya Varma began shooting in March of this year after Bala's version was scrapped. Adithya Varma is set to release on November 8, 2019. Famous actor Priya Anand will also feature in the film in a supporting role.
