Move over, selfies, Imtiaz Ali has created a new term, ‘backfie’ for situations when clicking a picture with someone important is not possible.
The filmmaker on Saturday shared a selfie with Dinesh Vijan, Kartik Aaryan and Karan Johar on Instagram. But the focal point of the photograph was none of the four, but a very important person behind them, but not with them. We can see the back of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi as he is busy with others, and the ‘Jab We Met’ director interestingly called it a ‘backfie.’
Considering it’s not easy to click a selfie with the Prime Minister amid his busy schedule, that seemed like the best option for the celebrities. The event in question is the inauguration of the National Museum of Indian Cinema conducted by the PM in Mumbai on Saturday.
There were numerous veterans and dignitaries present at the event and it’s not wrong of Imtiaz and the others to think of themselves as ‘losers’ amid the star-studded presence of celebrities.
Here's the post:
We wonder if Imtiaz is referring to the last event involving the B-Town stars and the Prime Minister, a discussion related to the film industry in Delhi, where all the stars not just posed for a super viral selfie, but even got individuals pictures clicked with him. KJo, however, gets to be a part of both the clubs.
