Mira beaming with her post-pregnancy glow wore a little black dress with bow detailing on the sleeves while Shahid went for a sport look. The duo was also accompanied by Shahid's mother Neelima Azmi, who was seen decked up in Indian attire. Yami Gautam and Shraddha Kapoor were amongst the others seen in attendance.

Shahid and Mira welcomed their baby boy on September 5 this year in Mumbai. Shahid's father Pankaj Kapoor exclusively spoke to Republic TV to express his happiness saying, "I am very delighted that a new bundle of joy has come to our house. A baby being born in any house is a matter of sheer joy and excitement. Similarly, it is a moment of joy for our family and as the grandfather of the newborn, I am delighted and very proud of my family. I wish Shahid and Mira all the very best." The Kapoors were in a celebratory mode post the arrival of the baby. The actor's younger brother Ishaan, mother Neelima and Mira's mother visited the newborn on the same day of his birth and Shahid was seen bringing in his daughter Misha to have a tête-à-tête with her baby brother a day after.

On workfront, Shahid's 'Batti Gul Meter Chalu' has created enough buzz ahead of its release. With the film being inspired by real events, Shree Narayan Singh and writers Garima and Siddharth did extensive research to do justice to the story. Since it is set in Uttarakhand, the dialogues are laced with Garhwali, one of the dialects of the state. In a bid to retain authenticity, not only was the film shot in Tehri, but every actor was made to take lessons in the language.
