Prabhas' Saaho fell short of touching the ₹300 crore mark in India. Saaho released on August 30, in 4,500 screens. The duo play lead roles in the film

Saaho, released worldwide on August 30, features Baahubali sensation Prabhas and Shraddha Kapoor in the leading roles. It's written and directed by film director Sujeeth. Other than Prabhas and Shraddha, Saaho also stars Jackie Shroff, Neil Nitin Mukesh, Mahesh Manjrekar and Mandira Bedi in key roles. The film is produced under the banner of UV Creations and T-Series.

Saaho was released in four languages, viz. Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam in nearly 4,500 screens across the country. The budget of the spy-drama was ₹350 crores. According to the latest reports, Saaho made an impressive collection at the box office but the movie has received negative reviews from the audience as well as critics. The film has reportedly fallen short of making it to the 300 crore club.

According to Box Office India, Saaho has managed to rake in business to the tune of ₹1,44,94,00,000 crore. In the first week, Saaho collected ₹1,20,90,00,000 crore. In the following weekend, Saaho collected ₹24,04,00,000.

Saaho's overseas collection

UV Creations recently released the overseas business of the film. The production company revealed that Saaho has garnered more than Rs. 424 crore worldwide in just two weeks.

Plot of the film

Prabhas, portraying the role of an undercover cop Ashok Chakravarthy, is supposed to investigate an outbreak of robberies in Mumbai. He teams up with Shraddha Kapoor who is a sincere police officer. Neil Nitin Mukesh, who gives off an impression of being the kingpin behind the crimes, leaves no hint for the police to track him down.
