Rajinikanth: '2.0' actor reveals his all-time favourite movies

Rajinikanth is one of the legendary actors in the south. He has created a niche for himself in the industry. Whatever the actor does on and off-screen is loved by his group of fans belonging to different age groups. The actor prefers to keep his personal life private or what he is doing during his leisure time. Actor, Rajnikanth was the chief guest at the statue unveiling ceremony for his guru K Balachander. Kamal Hassan had reportedly organised the entire event. After unveiling the statue, Rajini and Kamal spoke about Balachander and the respect they have for each other.

During the discussion, Rajinikanth opened up about his all-time favourite movies, that he would like to watch if he could not catch anything interesting. The movies God Father, Thiruvilaiyadal, and Hey Ram, he said are his go-to movies when he does not have anything to watch. He has seen Hey Ram almost 30 to 40 times.

Kamal Hassan completed 60 years in the film industry and this achievement is being celebrated by his team. For many years, Kamal Hassan and Rajinikanth have been good friends despite being contemporaries. At the event, Kamal also stated that they both are each other’s fans. Time and again, Kamal and Rajini prove that these fan wars never matter to them with their rock-solid friendship.

Rajinikanth was last seen in 2.0 alongside Akshay Kumar and Amy Jackson. The film was directed by S. Shankar. 2.0 did a number at the box office. The plot revolved around that after mobiles start mysteriously starts flying out of the hands of people in Chennai. Dr Vaseegaran summons his trusted robot Chitti to ward off the bird-shaped supernatural powers of Pakshirahan. On the work front, Kamal Haasan revealed the motion poster of Rajinikanth's upcoming film Darbar. The film is directed by A.R. Murugadoss and stars Rajinikanth, Nayanthara, and Prateik. The film is expected to release in January 2020.
