Saand Ki Aankh 'one of the most special films', says Bhumi Pednekar

Bollywood actor Bhumi Pednekar says playing sharpshooter Chandro Tomar in 'Saand Ki Aankh' has been a life-changing experience for her. She is best known for her role in 'Dum Laga Ke Haisha' and 'Shubh Mangal Saavdhan'. The actress reportedly said that she was apprehensive about the role, but considers it 'one of the most special films' of her career.

'Saand Ki Aankh' a special film: Bhumi Pednekar

In a series of tweets, the actress acknowledged director Tushar Hiranandani and said that the film will be 'one of the most special films' of her career:

Film based on two elderly sharpshooters from Johri, Uttar Pradesh

'Saand Ki Aankh' is based on the lives of two elderly sharpshooters from the village of Johri, Prakashi Tomar and Chandro Tomar. Taapsee Pannu plays the role of Prakashi Tomar in the Tusar Hiranandani-directed film. Anurag Kashyap serves as the producer. The film shows how these two women defied odds and traditions to pursue their goal and attained national fame by winning more than 30 national championships after the age of 65. The women are considered the oldest sharpshooters in India.  'Saand Ki Aankh' is slated to release on October 25.

Bhumi Pednekar had also claimed that she believes in experimenting and seeking challenging roles for her career. The actress has six films upcoming in which she will be seen in different kinds of roles.
