Saif Ali Khan made his Bollywood debut in the year 1993. The actor, since then, has done various movies. Whether it is playing a comic role in Dil Chahta Hai or a severe villain in Ek Hasina Thi, he has proved that he is one the most versatile actors in the industry. Saif Ali Khan had also won a National Award for his role in Hum Tum. Here are five of his most versatile roles.

Being Cyrus

The movie is a dark comedy film that revolves around a Parsi family, the Sethnas, and how things take a dark turn when Cyrus Mistry comes into their life. The film was helmed by debutant director Homi Adajania and was made differently from the usual Bollywood formula. Even with an outstanding star cast that included Naseeruddin Shah, Boman Irani, and Dimple Kapadia, Saif’s brilliant performance was a standout and received a lot of appreciation.

Omkara

Released in 2005, the movie had a big star cast of Ajay Devgn, Saif Ali Khan, Vivek Oberoi, Kareena Kapoor, Konkona Sen Sharma, and Bipasha Basu. The movie was an adaptation of Shakespeare's Othello. Saif Ali Khan as deadly villain Langda Tyagi was said to be his career-best performance. His portrayal of the character also won him Filmfare Award for Best Actor in a negative role.

Go Goa Gone

Breaking the chain of normal movies in Bollywood, Go Goa Gone was an action comedy film based on a zombie apocalypse. Saif Ali Khan was seen in an all-new avatar as Boris, a Russian mafia originally from Delhi. Beside him, the movie stars Kunal Khemu, Vir Das, Anand Tiwari, and Puja Gupta in lead roles. The movie was a success at the box office and its second part is said to be in the works.

Kaalakaandi

In director Akshat Verma’s debut movie Kaalakaandi, the audience saw Saif as Vineet, a man who discovers that he has a terminal illness and decides to let go of his principles to live a little. The movie tanked at the box office. However, Saif’s performance was praised by the audiences.

Laal Kaptaan

Saif Ali Khan’s upcoming movie is Laal Kaptaan. Recently, the trailer of the film was released in which Saif is seen playing a Naga Sadhu. The immense emotion that he showed in the trailer has grabbed eyeballs. The movie is set to release on October 18, 2019. See the trailer below.
