Bollywood star Ajay Devgn on Tuesday released the trailer of his upcoming home production "Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior" starring Saif Ali Khan and Kajol. The actor took to Instagram to share the trailer of the period drama that will see him play the role of Maratha commander Tanaji Malusare in Chhatrapati Shivaji's army. "4th Feb 1670: The surgical strike that shook the Mughal Empire! Witness history like never before," he wrote on his Twitter handle.

The trailer does pack a punch with its strong dialogues and killer performances by each one but disappoints with regards to the visual effects. The intense action scenes and background score sure lifts up the overall vibe. Directed by Om Raut, the film is produced by Devgn's ADFL and Bhushan Kumar's T-Series. The movie will hit the big screen on January 10, 2020.

When Tanhaji Malusare was found dead Shivaji Maharaj famously said "gad alaa pan sinha gelaa" which translates to "the fort is captured but the lion (Tanhaji Malusare) has died." Shivaji Maharaj renamed the fort from Kondhana fort to Sinhagad.
