Vicky Kaushal-Ayushmann Khurrana share National Award: Former uses hilarious 'Andaz Apna Apna' line

The year 2018 clearly belonged to Ayushmann Khurrana and Vicky Kaushal, as they delivered multiple hits and earned laurels from all across. While the former was felicitated for his hit ‘AndhaDhun’ from last year at the National  Awards, the duo have also continued their impressive and successful runs this year, the latter being honoured for ‘Uri: The Surgical Strike.’ There was a warm exchange of mutual admiration between the two after they shared the Best Actor award. However, a highlight of their camaraderie was a hilarious reference from the iconic ‘Andaz Apna Apna’ that Vicky used for Ayushmann to express his fondness for him.

Mutual admiration 

After the announcement of the National Awards, Ayushmann, sharing a selfie with Vicky, wrote, "This guy is a gem. As soon as he got to know about his/our victory in the National Awards, he called me and congratulated me. Vicky yaara, I'm so proud of you. Thank you for being so gracious. Lots of love.” 

 

Vicky had a hilarious reply to it, "Do dost ek hi pyaali mein chai peeyengey... Isse pyaar badhta hai." (Two friends will drink tea in the same cup since the love increases in this way).   

 

For the unversed, the dialogue is what Aamir Khan tells Salman Khan in the Rajkumar Santoshi comedy. The scene comes when the duo, Amar-Prem, become friends at the beginning.

Earlier, while conveying their gratitude for the victory, both Ayushmann and Vicky had congratulated each other. 

Ayushmann had written, “Also, a big hug and congratulations to my bro @vickykaushal09..” 

Vicky was more profuse, “I’m also very happy to be sharing the award with someone whom I admire, both as a person and as an actor. Ayushmann, congratulations, brother!”

Before sharing National Award, they shared the couch   

Co-incidentally, both Vicky and Ayushmann had appeared together on ‘Koffee with Karan’ last year.
