War: List of records broken by the Hrithik Roshan-Tiger Shroff starrer

War, starring Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff in the lead role, is on its way to create history. Directed by Siddharth Anand, the film also features Vaani Kapoor and also broken multiple records since its release. The film was released across 4000 screens in the domestic market. Being one of the most anticipated releases of the year, expectations from the film was also an all-time high. Here we have listed some of the records War has managed to break since its release.

Biggest Opening in Bollywood industry

War enjoyed the biggest release with an opening of over  ₹.50 crore. The movie is the third highest grosser of this year. The movie collected ₹ 51.60 Crore in Hindi version and Rs 53.35 Crore in all languages, according to trade expert, Taran Adarsh. The film beat the record of Thugs of Hindostan, starring Aamir Khan and Amitabh Bachchan, which was released last year.

Biggest Opening for Hrithik Roshan

War is Hrithik Roshan’s biggest opening till now in the industry. The movie beats his highest opening day film Bang Bang. Bang Bang collected ₹ 24.40 crores on the first day, according to industry reports. On the other hand, War collected almost double of that.

Fastest to cross ₹ 200 Crore mark

War is the fastest ₹ 200 Crore film of the year as it crossed the mark in seven days of its release. The movie collected a total of   ₹ 208 Crore in its first week. Also, the film collected a total of ₹ 216 Crore in all languages. Apart from War, Sanju, Tiger Zinda Hai and Sultan were the fastest films to cross ₹ 200 Crore mark.

Biggest Opening for Tiger Shroff

The movie beat Tiger’s highest opening day film. Baaghi 2. The film was released last year and collected a total of ₹ 25 crores on the first day. Baaghi 2 featured Disha Patani and Manoj Pai. The film was the sequel of Baaghi, which was released in 2016.

About the film War

The Yash Raj Productions pitted the two biggest action heroes of Bollywood in this massive showdown. Hrithik Roshan is playing a character of Kabir, who was a former special agent. In the movie, Khalid (Tiger Shroff) is assigned to eliminate Kabir and hence the plot of Hrithik Roshan Vs Tiger Shroff is seen. War released on October 2 and had its clash with Hollywood blockbuster Joker.
