Some fans used the theme song in a different context of sitcoms which made it viral. The 2019 AFL Grand Final is scheduled on September 28 and the GWS Giants released their theme song ahead of the clash. The song ‘There’s a Big Big Sound’ started trending after the tune was used in a hilarious manner.
AFL fans used the theme song in the video clips of sitcoms like Simpsons, Friends, and The Office. They started tweeting their video version of the song with hashtag #bigbigsound and #NeverSurrender.
The GWS Giants could become the neutral fan favourites due to the popularity of the meme.
Although, Richmond Football Club defeated the Giants in the Final to claim 12th premiership. The final score read - Richmond FC 17.12 (114) and GWS Giants 3.7 (25).
