Jeremy Renner gets accused of threatening ex-wife Sonni Pacheo

Jeremy Renner, the Avengers Endgame star has been allegedly accused of threatening to kill his ex-wife Sonni Pacheo, who made the allegation in new papers filed as part of a battle over the custody of her six-year-old daughter Ava with the actor. Pacheo and Renner got married in January 2014 and filed for divorce the same year as she accused Renner of emotional and drug abuse. She has also made several alleged claims that Renner used to talk about killing her and himself. 

Accused of drug and emotional abuse

Pacheo told an international media outlet that Renner had allegedly put a gun in his mouth and threatened to take his own life before shooting at the ceiling. She had also accused him of drug abuse and leaving behind cocaine in the bathroom at a place easily reachable by their six-year-old daughter. Renner's lawyer, on the other hand, claimed that these allegations are one-sided and the well-being of Ava has always been the primary focus for the actor.

“The well-being of his daughter Ava has always been and continues to be the primary focus for Mr. Renner. This is a matter for the court to decide. It’s important to note the dramatizations made in Ms. Pacheco’s declaration are a one-sided account made with a specific goal in mind,” said Renner's lawyer.

Pacheo is currently seeking full custody of the couple's daughter as earlier in September she reportedly filed for a request for sole legal and physical custody of Ava with the Superior Court of California, County Los Angeles. The couple was ordered to attend child custody mediation and a hearing is scheduled to be held on November 07. Renner and Pacheo had reportedly agreed for shared custody back in 2014 with the actor paying child support of USD 13,000 per month as well as 5 percent of the excess if he makes over USD 2.3 million a year. In 2018, as Renner became an extraordinary high-income earner, he was set to pay USD 292,000 as additional child support that year.
