'The most stressful time of my life' Tom Holland on Marvel-Sony split

Tom Holland expressed his struggle dealing with Spider-Man's temporary split from the Marvel Cinematic Universe due to the fallout between Sony and Marvel

Hollywood actor, Tom Holland recently expressed his struggle dealing with Spider-Man's temporary split from the Marvel Cinematic Universe. He explained that he faced the most "stressful" time of his life soon after he got the news.  

Tom Holland makes a name to Disney’s CEO 

Disheartened fans across the globe, demanded the web-slinger be brought 'home', and raged at the studios expressing their anger and disagreement with the new advancement, as Disney and Sony failed to propose a mutual agreement to keep Spider-Man part of the MCU. The split, however, lasted only a few weeks. To save the character, Tom Holland made a plea to Disney’s CEO Bob Iger and discussed about protecting the super-hero for another hit script.

Iger later shared the main reason why on Jimmy Kimmel's Live! Eventually, it was Holland's determination mixed with the outpouring of support from the intense MCU fan base.

The Good news 

Luckily, in late September, Sony and Disney jointly confirmed the good news that Spider-Man was once again part of the MCU with a bonus news of the studios producing a third Tom Holland-led Spidey movie. Tom revealed during a panel conversation with co-star Jake Gyllenhaal at ACE Comic Con Midwest that the whole ordeal was a stressful time, particularly for him.

It was a stressful week: Tom 

The actor made his first appearance as Spider-Man in Captain America: Civil War. Ever since then, he has starred two exclusive spider-man movies, with solo performances and in addition reprised his position in Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame. Tom said that there are some situations where he cannot do anything about anything, so he will keep his mouth shut.   

Spider-Man: Far From Home is available to pre-order on DVD, Blu-ray and digital download. A third Spider-Man movie starring Tom Holland has a release date of July 16, 2021.
