Sophie Turner returns to TV after Game of Thrones with survival drama

Hollywood actor Sophie Turner, famous for the role of Sansa Stark in the hit show Game of Thrones, is all set to make a comeback on television with 'Survive'.

Hollywood actor Sophie Turner, famous for the role of Sansa Stark in the hit show Game of Thrones, is all set to make a comeback on television with Survive. Turner said that it was an honor to portray Jane's character. She further added that Jane is a complex character who is fighting against all odds in a hostile environment to save her life and also to find courage and strength. 

'Survive'

Sophie hoped that her latest role will inspire all those who are wrestling with the issue of self-worth to know they are way better and stronger than the problems facing them. Directed by Mark Pellington, the thriller series will also have Corey Hawkins as one of the other prominent characters. The sitcom will feature around a plot that will have Turner and Hawkins as the only two plane crash survivors on an isolated slow clad mountain. The duo will be seen as they fight for their lives in conditions not favorable to the human body. Survive is based on author, Alex Morel's book by the same name.

Sophie Turner was part of an 8 season-long Game of Thrones that ended this year with mixed reviews. A few ardent followers of the series started an online petition requesting the makers of the show to reshoot the last season with much more capable scriptwriters. The online petition managed to gather more than a million signatures.

A much-awaited prequel

Meanwhile, a Game of Thrones prequel is in the offing. The much-awaited show will revolve around House Targaryen. The plot will be set 300 years before the original 8 season series and will focus on the beginning and end of the House of Targaryen. It will be based on George R.R. Martin's book Fire and Blood. It will talk about Daenerys Targaryen played by Emilia Clarke and Jon Snow played by Kit Harrington's ancestors such as Aegon the conqueror and Aegon the dragon bane.
