World-famous Hollywood director Quentin Tarantino has already spoken about his plans to retire from direction after he completes his 10th feature film, and the film may or may not be an R-rated addition to the iconic 'Star Trek' franchise.
Tarantino's fans from around the world are confused whether 'Star Trek', which is not the director's original by any means, can be included within his self-set frontier. However, the "Pulp Fiction" director has said that if he gets an opportunity to direct the sci-fi drama, it would be the end of his filmmaking career.
The writer-director, whose ninth film, 'Once Upon a Time in Hollywood' is ready for its release later this month, had spoken about his plans for retirement.
He said, "I think when it comes to theatrical movies, I've come to the end of the road. I see myself writing film books and starting to write theatre, so I'll still be creative. I just think I've given all I have to give to movies."
Tarantino, who has pitched an R-rated version of Star Trek to producer J.J Abrams and Paramount, is also ready with the script for the film. However, the production company is yet respond to Tarantino's proposal.
When the director was asked about how he feels about his new film proposal, he said, "I actually think, if I was going to do 'Star Trek,' I should commit to it. It's my last movie. There should be nothing left-handed about it. I don't know if I'm going to do that, but that might happen."
Tarantino is known for his films such as 'Reservoir Dogs 'Pulp Fiction', 'Kill Bill 1 & 2', 'Django Unchained' and others, has over the years won many awards for his work, including Oscars for Best Writing & Screenplay Written Directly for the Screen for 'Pulp Fiction' in 1994 and for Best Writing, Original Screenplay for 'Django Unchained' in 2012.
