Good liar starring Oscar winner Helen Mirren and two-times Oscar-nominated Ian McKellen is all set to release on November 15. Good Liar has been directed by screenwriter Bill Condon. The trailer of this Warner Bros. picture was released on June 26 this year. Plot

The Good Liar is an American suspense thriller based on the novel of Nicholas Searle of the same name. In the film, Ian McKellen plays the role of a seasoned con-artist named Roy Courtnay who is set to con the recently widowed Betty McLeish played by Dame Helen Mirren. As the trailer of the film progresses the viewer gets to know that Roy meets Betty through a dating website and eventually plans to con her for million-dollar wealth. Ian and Helen’s chemistry is visible right from the start of the trailer when Helen Mirren’s character Betty questions him regarding his dating experience through the computer service to which Roy, Ian McKellen’s character answers with his tried and tested techniques and gives a heart-warming answer of being let down several times but still hoping for the best.

As the trailer of this film The Good Liar progresses, the viewer sees a different side of both the lead characters played by Ian McKellen and Helen Mirren. Ian’s character is more than conman he seems to have a dark past. In one of the scenes in the trailer, he can be even seen turning a subway camera’s direction and the next moment is pushing a man on the subway tracks. As the trailer progresses more even Betty’s grandson played by Russell Tovey is introduced. Russell’s character Steven seems to be suspicious of Roy since their introduction. In one scene of the trailer, he can be seen warning his grandmother as well. In all the trailer of The Good Liar has been successful in maintaining the mystery around the plot of the film since Helen Mirren’s character also seems to operate in the grey area.
