It’s hard to imagine some people without the beard as that’s how we’re used to seeing the person over the years. And seeing that man without the facial hair is always slightly odd. That’s what happened with fans of ‘Aquaman’ star Jason Momoa who got rid of his beard. No, the actor didn’t do for a role or a fashion statement, but to throw light on a very important cause, the menace of plastic.
In a video shot in the desert and shared on his YouTube channel, Jason shaves his beard in close to four minutes on camera and says ‘Goodbye Drogo’, referring to the popular character he portrayed on ‘Game of Thrones’. The actor talks about the need to switch to the recyclable aluminum over plastic to ‘save the planet.’ He suggests using cans over plastic bottles and reveals how aluminum is 100 percent recyclable 'infinitely' and that 75 percent of all aluminiun used is back in circulation.
On Instagram, the actor explained his reason as, “A change for the better...for my kids, your kids, the world. Let’s make a positive change for the health of our planet. 🌎 Let’s clean up our oceans 🌊 our land ⛰. Join me on this journey. Let’s make the switch to infinitely recyclable aluminum. ♻️♻️♻️ Water in cans, not plastic.”
