Laal Kaptaan is an upcoming action drama that will star Saif Ali Khan in the lead. The film is directed by Navdeep Singh. Fans of the action genre will reportedly have a lot to be excited about. And Saif fans can expect to see him in a completely new look.

The movie is set to release on October 11, 2019. The trailer that was shared online on September 23, gave everyone a good look at Saif’s attire as well as the setting of the film. The movie appears to be a period drama set sometime during the British rule of India. Saif Ali Khan will be playing the role of a merciless assassin on a vengeful hunt.

Saif will be acting in the role of a Naga Sadhu assassin. In the trailer, you can see him sporting a traditional Sadhu attire while he rides a horse. We also see a body tied behind the horse by a rope, being dragged on the dusty streets as the horse strides forward. Later in the trailer, we get to see snippets of action scenes as Saif battles against what seem to be British India soldiers.

Sonakshi Sinha can be heard talking to the Naga Sadhu but we do not see her. As observed by the audience, the action in the trailer seems well-choreographed and is set to please the fans of the genre. There are several scenic locations that are feathered in the trailer that look stunning. The film definitely looks visually pleasing and has good cinematography.

Location

Most of the film has been shot in Rajasthan, so we can expect to see some iconic locations from that state. The reason for shooting in the desert state is not clear. It might just be a decision based on the locations. However, it might also have something to do with the history of the area. Other than the trailer and other promotional materials, the cast and crew have also spoken about the movie to promote it. Actor Saif Ali Khan commented on his experiences in Rajasthan and spoke a little about his character. He said that his character will be someone who is an animal at heart and is wild behaviour-wise. The movie has been co-produced by Eros International and Colour Yellow Productions.
