The eight people band, Masala Coffee, is an indie-pop folk band. They create some attractive folk songs that have a feel of indie-pop culture to it. The band made its debut in 2014. Apart from indie-pop and folk, Masala Coffee also performs rock and blues songs. They have performed in more than 400 shows across India, Asia and few cities in Europe. The eight-member band has Sunil and Sooraj Santhosh on vocals, Daya Sankar on drums, Preeth PS and David Crimson on guitar, Pauly on bass, Joe Johnson on the keyboard, and Krishna Raj on the violin. They started performing in 2014, through Music Mojo, a television show. Later, they went viral with renditions of ‘Munbe Vaa’ and ‘Snehithane’. Kaantha is a Malayalam song from Uriyadi, a Malayalam movie. The song is sung by the two lead singers of the band, Varun Sunil and Santosh Sooraj. The song was released in 2017. The whole band was highly appreciated by the music industry from the south.

Kuttanaadan is a tribute song for the people who had tough times during the 2018 Kerala floods. This song honours people that are no longer with us and a dedication to those that fought an unforgiving battle and came out victorious. Kuttanaadan was released in 2018 on Masala Coffee’s YouTube Channel. It received 5 million views on this release.

Aalayal Thara Venam

Aalayal Thara Venam is a music video released by Kappa TV in 2014. It a song based on a girl’s life and their dreams. The video also has similar visuals. Masala Coffee has given their music, voice and lyrics to this song. The song hit 12 million views on YouTube and also got viral on social media. It also has a few folk dancing visuals.
