Nishabdham teaser: Anushka Shetty-Madhavan thriller set to grip you

After Baahubali, Anushka Shetty, it seems, is turning her attention to the mystery-thriller genre. After Bhaagamathie, the actor is all set to feature in another suspense movie, Nishabdham, that like Bhaagamathie, could have a brush with supernatural and maybe not. As Anushka turns 38 on Thursday, the makers of Nishabdham unveiled a teaser to wish her and delight her fans. The movie, also starring R Madhavan, promises to be a gripping tale, if the initial glimpses are anything to go by.

Looking at the teaser, it appears that Anushka Shetty is playing the role of a speech-impaired person. Madhavan is a violinist and Anushka’s character is also seen teaching him to play the musical instrument while they seem to be a couple too. However, something untoward happens in their life, after which the police gets into the picture.Though it is not clear if the movie is a horror film, it has every ingredient that one would associate with the genre. Be it the dolls, nuns, character in a hoodie, flickering of lights, child’s drawing, a mysterious book, and a house that doesn’t seem right, there are not many surprises there. With the words ‘A vacation turned into a nightmare,’ ‘Can the silence be broken’, ‘Everyone is a suspect’ coming in up in the teaser, it would be interesting to see what the movie has in store for the audiences.

The title look of the movie was released on October 7, when Anushka Shetty had completed 14 years.  Anushka had then written, “14 years and all the love from each and everyone of you at every step and unconditional support in all that I have done 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🤗THANK You🤗🙏🏻 To all my directors ,producers ,co actors ,crew ,my staff and each and every person I have encountered in this journey THANK YOU 😊 🙏🏻😍for making these years so memorable and celebrating them like they were yours ....Cheers to all of you , to all memories and learning’s ...always forever 🥰🤗🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻😀😀😀😀😀 #14YearsOfAnushkaShetty" At that time, it was assumed that she was making ‘14’ with her gesture, but as seen in the teaser, she is seen making similar gestures all through. After the two important announcements were made for Anushka’s milestones, it’s likely that trailer could be released for some Madhavan milestone. 

Nishabdham also stars Arjun Reddy actor Shalini Pandey, while Kill Bill actor Michael Madden plays the investigation officer. The movie has been directed by Hemant Madhukar. It has been produced by Kona Venkat and TG Vishwa Prasad.
