Pawan Kalyan and Sai Dharam Tej came together for Bro, a remake of the 2021 Tamil film Vinodhaya Sitham. The film also stars Ketika Sharma, Priya Prakash Varrier and Subbaraju. After starting off with a bumper opening of Rs 30 crore, Bro's fate at the box office has not been good. Its decline has suggested that the movie is headed towards a disaster.
3 things you need to know:
- Bro was released on July 28.
- It has been directed by Samuthirakani, who directed Vinodhaya Sitham as well.
- The film is well part Rs 100 crore at the box office.
Bro witnesses steep decline in weekdays
Bro had a lot of positives-- S Thaman’s compositions, a dance number featuring Urvashi Rautela, and the star power of Pawan Kalyan. The movie had all the ingredients of a box office success. While Pawan Kalyan has delivered several films which have grossed more than Rs 100 crore – namely Vakeel Saab (2021), Gabbar Singh (2012), and Bheemla Nayak (2022) among others, it seems like Bro is not on track to emerge as a hit.

As per Sacnilk, Bro grossed merely Rs 1.70 crore on Day 7. This is a huge drop in its collection, which started off at Rs 30.05 crore on the opening day in India. The movie's collection had dropped to Rs 17.05 crore on Saturday and earned Rs 16.9 crore on Sunday. However, it dropped to Rs 3.85 crore on Monday, which was a steep decline. This only got worse, as it minted Rs 2.95 crore and Rs 2.10 crore on Tuesday and Wednesday respectively. It could well close its run with this weekend.
Box total box office collection
Bro has now collected Rs 74.60 crore in India after concluding its first week. The film's global collection stand at Rs 118.73 crore. It is expected that the makers will incur a loss.
