Rajinikanth’s Jailer has caused quite a stir at the worldwide box office. Despite competition from Bollywood releases like Sunny Deol starrer Gadar 2 and Akshay Kumar’s OMG 2, Jailer has managed to find its audience. After its third day at the box office, Jailer has collected huge numbers at the Tamil Nadu and worldwide box office.

3 things you need to know:

  • Jailer is the first collaboration between Rajinikanth and director Nelson Dilipkumar.
  • It’s the 169th film of Rajinikanth’s career.
  • Jailer has emerged as a massive grosser in the overseas market.

Jailer crosses $3 million in the USA

Jailer previously earned upwards of $1 million with its premiere show sales in the USA. However, the craze remained consistent after its August 10 release. So far at the box office, Jailer has managed to cross more than $3.25 million at the United States box office as per Andhra Box Office.

Trade analyst Manobala Vijayabalan revealed that Jailer’s haul of $3 million, up until Saturday, was more at the US box office than Lokesh Kanagaraj’s Vikram's lifetime collections. Vikram had scored $2,858,359 in its entire run in the USA.
