BoJack Horseman is a Netflix original series that presents the idea of a world where humans and talking animals live in harmony. The storyline of this animated show deals with the lead's journey to find meaning in his life after the cancellation of a TV show he was starred in. The show has six seasons until now with a meaningful plot. The show brings forward controversial issues and real-life problems concerning mental health, eating disorders, sickness, failed pregnancies, relationships, addiction, unemployment and more.

The show feels extremely real as one can relate and learn many things from it. The show BoJack Horseman takes the viewer on an emotional ride as the person will see themselves crying, laughing, shouting with excitement, and they feel amazed by the fact that a cartoon is making them feel depressed. Here are some life lessons one can learn from BoJack Horseman.

Money is not everything

The show reveals that a person should never expect anything from anyone. It showcases that during BoJack's golden days as an actor, Horseman had many friends and people around him. He was treated as an important person who is loved and wanted. As his career saw a downfall, everyone he trusted stopped being around him. This gives the viewers a lesson that relationships are more than money, and friendships could end if they are based on monetary matters.

Always be there for a friend

The show took friendship to another level when BoJack proved his friendship towards his beloved friend Todd. Horseman was popular and known in the film industry whereas his friend Todd was facing difficulties in coping up with life. The lead went out of his way to help his friend. He kept Todd in his house and gave him food at the time of his need. BoJack did not stop there, he produced a movie casting his friend as the lead as well. The movie became successful, and BoJack Horseman saved Todd's career.

Importance of Moving on

BoJack falls in love with Wanda. He gets into a serious relationship commitment with her. However, later,  BoJack falls apart with their sudden breakup. He starts to depict self-destructive behaviour like alcoholism and more. The breakup seemed like an end to him, but gradually he understands that something great is on his way. He falls in love with someone else who loves him more. This teaches the viewers that it is important to move on from something that was not meant for them because only then they can find someone who truly deserves them.
