Kasautii Zindagii Kay: Hunt for Komolika over, Aamna Sharif roped in

The vamp is back in Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2 after the usual plastic surgery; which has been a common element in the Balaji Telefilms' storyline. Kahiin to Hoga fame, Aamna Sharif will grace the television screens after six years replacing Hina Khan as Komolika Chaubey. This is Hina Khan's second exit from the daily soap. Hina had to quit from the show reportedly due to movie commitments. Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2 is produced by Ekta Kapoor which airs at 08:00 pm on weekdays. The show is a reboot of the popular television series back from the year 2000 of the same name. It features Erica Fernandes as Prerna Sharma, Parth Samthaan as Anurag Basu and Karan Singh Grover as Mr Bajaj.

Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2: Why did Hina leave KZK 2?

Hina Khan left Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2 after portraying the iconic vamp of television as Komolika for six months. She mentioned in an interview that Ekta was in need of a Komolika soon but she herself couldn't return back to the role due to her movie commitments till mid- November. Even though people have not seen Aamna Sharif in a negative role yet, Hina Khan seemed positive about the new Komolika and stated that Aamna will kill it. Aamna as Komolika will be revealed on October 10 at 8 pm on Star Plus and can be viewed on Hotstar as well.

Aamna Sharif took a six-year break from television and last starred in 2013 for Ek Thhi Naayika. Reports suggest that Gauahar Khan was also in talks for Komolika's role but she had her hands full with other web series and projects. The Kasautii Zindagii Kay followers have big hopes from the show with Aamna Sharif as the new entry, after Karan Singh Grover making a dashing entrance as Mr Bajaj. Will Aamna Sharif justify Komolika after Hina Khan & Urvashi Dholakia?

Aamna Sharif became a successful TV actor and a household name post Kahiin to Hoga alongside Rajeev Khandelwal. She is remembered for her portrayal as the beautiful, 'sanskari' girl-next-door. When Ekta Kapoor was asked about Aamna Sharif as the new Komolika in an interview, she expressed her happiness about the same and called Aamna one of her favourite actors.
