IPL 2025 Broadcasters Questioned For Cutting Disha Patani's 'Hot' Opening Ceremony Performance In Eden Gardens

IPL 2025 Opening Ceremony: Disha Patani performed for the crowd at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata before the opening match between Kolkata Knight Riders and Royal Challengers Bengaluru. The actress looked stunning in a silver-coloured bralette and skirt, which she paired with matching boots. Disha grooved to her hit songs Hui Malang, Do You Love Me and more. However, many on social media complained that her segment on air was switched.

"Temperature increases in Eden Gardens despite heavy showers last night," shared a social media user about Disha's stunning dance performance. Another one wrote, "Why did @JioHotstar cut off #DishaPatani’s hot 🥵 performance midway? Such a disappointment (sic)." "Broadcasters ne Disha Patani ka dance nahi dikhaya (sic)," another comment read.

Disha also joined Punjabi singer and rapper Karan Aujla as he sang his latest track Tell Me, which also features the actress. The song is in collaboration with One Republic. As Karan began his performance of the song, he invited Disha to the stage, who then grooved along with the background dancers.

Karan performed his hit songs Wavy, Lalkare, Softly, Tauba Tauba and more as he injected some energy in the crowd in Kolkata. the highlight of his act was when Disha joined him and they grooved together on their latest song Tell Me.

Earlier in the evening, singer Shreya Ghoshal kicked off the IPL 2025 opening ceremony with her melodious medley, comprising songs like Bhool Bhulaiyaa's Mere Dholna, Padmaavat's Ghoomar, Sanju's Kar Har Maidaan Fateh, Pushpa 2's Angaaron, Bhaag Milkha Bhaag's Zinda, Rang De Basanti and Om Shanti Om title tracks, Ghar More Pardesiya from Kalank and more.

She wrapped up her 20-minute-long act with a soul-stirring rendition of Vande Mataram, as the crowd sang along.
