Bhola Shankar's Hindi release date out amid Telugu version's dismal box office performance

Chiranjeevi’s Bhola Shankar was released on August 11 and has had a dismal run at the box office so far. A remake of the 2015 Tamil film Vedalam, which starred Ajith Kumar and was a profitable venture, Bhola Shankar failed to create the same excitement among the audience. Now despite the negative reviews and poor performance, makers have announced the Hindi release date for Bhola Shankar.

Bhola Shankar to release in Hindi on this date

Bhola Shankar is currently set to release theatrically in Hindi on August 25, 2023. The announcement for the film’s Hindi release came from the official handle for the film's producer RKD Studios. In the Hindi dubbed version, Jackie Shroff is going to voice Chiranjeevi’s character. The caption for the post read, “Watch Megastar Chiranjeevi’s endless swag in Bhola Shankar, releasing worldwide in Hindi on 25th August 2023! Hindi dubbing for Chiranjeevi’s done by the one and only - Mr Jackie Shroff!”

Bhola Shankar’s unexpected box office performance

On the opening day, Bhola Shankar still managed to pull numbers with Rs 16.25 crore domestically. On its second day, however, the film dropped down to Rs 5.05 crore at the box office. While it had one last chance to enter recovery with Sunday, it ended up making only Rs 5.1 crore at the box office.

As per the makers, the Chiranjeevi film has managed to haul in Rs 33 crore globally (in gross). Meanwhile, trade analyst Manobala Vijayabalan wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter, that the film bombed at the box office on Monday, bringing in an amount that does not even add-up to a crore.
