Ajay Devgn Confirms Singham Again Will Not Release On August 15: Jaldi Jaldi Mein...

Singham Again was scheduled to hit the big screens on August 15. Owing to the Independence Day holiday, the weekend is highly coveted for film calendars. Apart from the Rohit Shetty directorial, Akshay Kumar’s Khel Khel Mein and Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2: The Rule is also scheduled to release on the day. However, speaking at a media event, Ajay Devgn hinted that his film might not arrive in theatres on the scheduled day. 

Ajay Devgn hints at Singham Again release date being postponed

Ajay Devgn recently attended the trailer launch of his film Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha on June 13. Speaking to the media at the event, the Singham Again lead actor was asked about the film’s release on August 15. Responding to the same, the actor mentioned that they do not want to hurry the film just to release it on the proposed date. 

Ajay Devgn shared, "We are not sure that the film will be ready by 15th August. So, we don't want to hurry. Bahut baar jaldi jaldi me kaam kharab ho jata hai, so we will take our time and complete the film". Previously, a source close to the development of the film told Bollywood Hungama that the Ajay Devgn-led movie is sighting a release in December. As per the insider the VFX and background score of the movie are being reworked which has caused the delay. They also empathised that the film’s team is trying to work hard to meet the August 15 weekend deadline. 

Pushpa 2: The Rule also clears Independence Day weekend? 

Not just Singham Again, it is rumoured that Allu Arjun starrer Pushpa 2: The Rule might also not arrive in theatres on August 15. As per media reports, the moviemakers have sent a letter to other film producers notifying them that the film is being postponed to a later date. Allu Arjun’s ill health causing the makers to push back a month of shoot is being cited as a reason for the delay. 

It is also being suggested that Akshay Kumar’s Khel Khel Mein and John Abraham’s Veda booked the Independence Day release for release because of Pushpa delay.
