Ameesha Patel opens up about delivering flops, says 'had I belonged to film fraternity…'

Ameesha Patel has had a resurgence in her popularity ever since the release of her film Gadar 2. The action-entertainer has become one of the most successful films of 2023 and is soon to touch the Rs 500 crore mark in India. While Ameesha is paired up with her co-star Sunny Deol more than 2 decades later, she recently reflected on her Bollywood journey recently.

• In the film, Ameesha Patel reprised her role as Sakina, the wife of Tara Singh (Sunny Deol).

Ameesha Patel on how she sees herself in the industry

During a conversation with Bollywood Bubble, Ameesha Patel spoke about how actresses are treated after their films suffer failure at the box office. She said that actresses who are not part of any film family in Bollywood get targeted after box office failures. Ameesha then spoke about how her career would have fared differently had she belonged to a film fraternity.

“Had I belonged to the film fraternity, had been born here and had a Godfather, then even the films that didn’t do well wouldn’t have mattered because I would have time and time again still gotten the biggest films anyway,” said the Kaho Na Pyaar Hai actress.

What did Ameesha Patel say about Gadar 3?

After the success of Gadar 2, reports of another sequel of the film in the works have surfaced. In an interview with Bollywood Hungama, Ameesha was asked if she would like to be back as Sakina in the third part of the film as well. To this, the actress clarified that she will be a part of the film only if she has a substantial part in it. It remains to be seen whether Ameesha Patel will be in Gadar 2 or not.
