Abhishek Bachchan has always been subject to nepotism even before the word went viral. The Dhoom actor received backlash for his movie choices and was often compared to his parents Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan. However, he always found support from his parents, particularly Big B, who is quite vocal about his thoughts on his son's acting skills and agreed with a post praising the actor.

A user on X pointed out that Abhishek had "unnecessarily become a victim of nepotism negativity" despite starring in good content movies with several success at the box office.
