Anupam Kher Thanks Police For Arresting Thieves Involved In His Office Burglary

Anupam Kher's office in Veera Desai Road, Mumbai, was ransacked by two thieves on June 19. The actor took to his social media handle to share the details of the robbery. She said that the thieves broke two doors, stole the entire safe from the accounts department and the negatives of a film produced by his company. His office had filed an FIR and within 48 hours Mumbai Police nabbed the robbers, who were identified as Majid Sheikh and Mohammad Daler Bahrim Khan.

On being informed about the same, Anupam Kher took to his Instagram handle to share the news with his fans and thank Mumbai Police for arresting them at the earliest.

The veteran actor penned a heartfelt note thanking the Mumbai Police. "My heartfelt gratitude and appreciation for the Mumbai Police for catching both the thieves who ransacked my office, stole my safe and the negative of #MaineGandhiKoNaiMara. The fact that it was done within 48 hours speaks of their amazing efficiency!! Jai Ho! (Folded hands, heart eyes and National Flag emojis)," the note read.

He also shared the photos of thieves and a screengrab of Mumbai Police's post on social platforms.  The caption read, "THANK YOU!! (Folded hands and heart eyes emojis) @mumbaipolice @cpmumbaipolice."

What else do we know about the robbery case?

As per news agency PTI, both the robbers were taken into custody from the Jogeshwari area on Friday night. Police said they were serial thieves and would travel to various places in the city by autorickshaws to steal. According to the police, the incident took place on Wednesday night at the actor’s office on Vira Desai Road in the Amboli area. It came to light around 9.45 on Thursday morning when the office staff arrived and found the locks broken, he said. Kher himself narrated the incident in posts on his official X handle and Instagram page.
