Tabu and Ajay Devgn are teaming up once again for the film Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha, directed by Neeraj Pandey. Known for their successful collaborations in films like Drishyam, Drishyam 2, and De De Pyaar De, the duo will portray romantic leads, which is uncommon in Bollywood, where such roles typically feature younger actors.

When asked about this refreshing change, Tabu expressed her gratitude to Neeraj Pandey at the trailer launch event, saying, “It feels great. Romance isn’t confined to the young or a specific age group. There are no barriers when it comes to romance, love, and relationships. This film, I believe, is more about relationships than just love and romance. Human relationships are the most compelling elements in cinema, with love and romance being integral parts of these relationships. Exploring these themes offers endless possibilities for filmmakers.”

Ajay Devgn added his perspective, noting, “Feelings tend to deepen as you grow older. With age, people start thinking and feeling more profoundly, analyzing things they might not have considered in their younger, more carefree years. This maturity allows for a deeper understanding of emotions.”

Tabu on films with strong female lead

Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha marks Tabu’s second film this year, following her role in Crew alongside Kareena Kapoor Khan and Kriti Sanon. The movie received positive reviews and was a commercial success, grossing over Rs 157 crore globally.

At the event, Tabu was asked if the success of films with top female stars would encourage more such projects. Before she could respond, Ajay Devgn interjected, “There is no need for courage in this regard. It's already happening. Films with strong female leads are being made as long as there is a good script. It's about the story, not courage.”

Tabu concurred, adding, “You should ask the producers about that. I can’t dictate the type of films made in the industry. Many factors are involved, and ultimately, producers make the final decision. I’ve seen trends come and go over the years, so how this will unfold is uncertain.”
