Chhaava Box Office Collection Week 3: Vicky Kaushal Starrer Is Unstoppable As It Closes In On ₹500 Crore Mark

Chhaava Box Office Collection Week 3: Vicku Kaushal and Akshaye Khanna starrer Chhaava has completed three weeks at the cinema halls and is currently the 11th highest-grossing Indian film at the domestic box office. Based on the life of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj (Vicky) and his torture and killing at the hands of Mughal emperor Aurangzeb, the movie has collected over ₹480 crore in 21 days.

Vicky starrer Chhaava refuses to slow down

Chhaava is making the most of its solo run at the box office. Bollywood movies releasing in March are scarce and Chhaava is the only fresh title running in cinema halls now. It had initially found favour among the Marathi audience but with positive word of mouth, regions in North India also lapped up the movie. It is not only the highest-grossing Hindi historical film of all time, beating Padmaavat, but also the biggest commercial hit of Vicky's career.

On its 21st day, the film collected ₹5.35 crore according to early estimates, taking its total biz in India in there weeks to ₹483.40 crore. Chhaava is expected to become the first ₹500 crore grosser in India in 2025.

Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis watches Chhaava

Amid the film's glorious run at the ticket window, a special screening of Chhaava was held for the MLAs and MLCs in Mumbai. CM Devendra Fadnavis called Chhaava "a very beautiful movie".

"Those who wrote history did a lot of injustice to Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, but through this movie, his valour, bravery, cleverness, intelligence, knowledge, all these aspects of his life are coming in front of the public. And the way Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj continuously protected Swarajya after Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, his sacrifice is coming in front of the people through this. I would like to congratulate the producers of this film and the entire team," the CM shared.
