Dinesh Karthik Picks THIS Bollywood Actor For Virat Kohli's Biopic
Dinesh Karthik was asked which actor from Indian cinema would be perfect to play Virat Kohli's character and he chose this Bollywood star.
Often it was speculated that filmmakers are planning to make a biopic around the life of Indian cricketer and Anushka Sharma's husband, Virat Kohli. Now, when asked former cricketer Dinesh Karthik which actor would be perfect for Kohli's biopic, he shared his two cents.
Dinesh Karthik chooses THIS Bollywood actor for Virat Kohli's biopic
In an interview with Cricbuzz about India's upcoming Super 8 campaign at the T20 World Cup, Dinesh Karthik was asked which actor from Indian cinema would be perfect to play Virat Kohli's character. He said Ranbir Kapoor and added that he would do a good job. However, he hopes Ranbir mimics the way Kohli plays cricket, which would be quite an "important part." He further reasoned why he picked Ranbir and said he had never seen the actor playing cricket.
When asked about who can ace his role, to this, he replied Vikrant Massey. He said that many people say that he looks like the 12th Fail actor, so he thinks, Massey will be a perfect fit for his biopic.
What is Ranbir Kapoor busy with?
The actor is currently shooting for his next movie Ramayana, helmed by Nitish Tiwari. The movie also stars Sai Pallavi, Sunny Deol and Lara Dutta in the lead roles. Earlier the movie was in the news for all the wrong reasons when producer Madhu Mantena asserted ownership of the film's IP rights. In a public notice issued through trade channels, Mantena revealed discussions between his production company, Allu Mantena Media Ventures LLP and producer Namit Malhotra's Prime Focus Technologies. He stated that the transfer of these rights has not materialised into a formal agreement. The proposed deal, including the script, title and other materials, is yet to come into effect. Owing to this, the reports of shooting being halted started doing the rounds.
However, now it seems the matter has been resolved as the actors are being snapped at the sets. The production is being led by Nitesh Tiwari and Namit Malhotra (DNEG) with a dedicated team of top-tier VFX artists.
