'Nobody calls me up...': Anubhav breaks silence on song remakes
In an interview with Humans of Bombay, speaking about the remake of his song in Baaghi 3, which was picturised on Shraddha Kapoor and Tiger Shroff, Anubhav said, "Director ko koi ginta hi nahi hai. Gaane mein director ka koi hath that usne kuch kiya that. Nobody calls me up and says 'that song is very good. I am using it in my movie'. They are all my friends but then also they don't inform me. I saw it on TV. I liked it but Dus Bahane should not have been remade. they could have done 11 bahane or 12 bahane, but not Dus Bahane."
Failure breaks your backbone: Anubhav Sinha
While the controversy over IC814 led to the revision of the show's disclaimer and an assurance from streamer Netflix that sentiments of Indians would be kept in mind going forth, Anubhav also opened up about facing failures with his last two releases - Bheed starring Rajkummar Rao and Bhumi Pednekar and Anek featuring Ayushmann Khurrana.
"It almost discourages you from making more movies. It breaks your heart, it breaks your backbone. You lose confidence. You almost get encouraged not to make a film again. But then something else convinces you enough to do it again and then you look back and say, ‘No, it’s not a big deal, it’s okay,'” he said in an interview.
