Ranbir Kapoor starrer Animal was released six months ago and the movie continues to be the internet's obsession. Speaking of which, celebrity hairstylist Aalim Hakim has shared several BTS shots from the movie spilling the beans about what inspired the actor's Animal entry scene look.

Aalim Hakim pens a long note recalling Ranbir Kapoor's Ranvijay look

Taking to his Instagram handle, Aalim Hakim explained in detail about Ranbir's long hair and flick look that was shown in Animal's entry scene. He described how "genius" director Sandeep Reddy Vanga briefed him about the look of young Ranvijay. He shared that the director wanted the actor in a rockstar avatar.  "Sandeep sir narrated to me that Ranvijay is a diehard Michael Jackson fan. You will also realise his entry in this look is on the bike smoking a cigarette and then you see him doing a famous MJ Moon Walk with a fantastic background score," he wrote.

He further mentioned that being a huge fan of the legendary global sensation, he used the opportunity to bring out the essence of MJ's hairstyle in young Ranvijay. Elaborating Ranvijay's style, he wrote, "I tried to keep a loose pony at the back with a lot of texture with a hair flick falling on the face . But we did it in a very subtle way to go with the vibe of Ranbir playing Ranvijay and not MJ."

Helmed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga Animal was one of the biggest blockbusters of 2023. However, it was also criticized for its alleged depiction of misogyny. The film starred Rashmika Mandanna, Anil Kapoor, and Bobby Deol in the lead roles. The film left many fans excited as it had a post-credits scene, teasing a sequel titled Animal Park, in which Ranbir would potentially have a double role. Animal revolves around a troubled father-son relationship and has Ranbir in the role of Rannvijay Singh, who goes on to exact revenge after there's an assassination attempt on his father.
