'Get your own': Twinkle Khanna calls out Akshay Kumar for 'robbing' her 'floral' mask

Akshay Kumar in an informative public announcement with regards to Coronavirus on Monday shared a video where he is telling people to 'wear masks' as they step out of the house. But what caught Twinkle Khanna's attention was the mask he was wearing — as it was hers.

Calling him out in a funny sarcastic way, Twinkle Khanna asked him not to 'get his own mask' and not steal hers. Twinkle wrote, "Also get your own mask and don’t rob your partner’s freshly washed, pretty, floral one:) #SafeNormal." [sic]

Coming back to the importance of masks, wearing them, not spitting and maintaining social distance in public places are important in the fight against coronavirus. In a bid to curb the spread of coronavirus, many city authorities have issued a penalty for not wearing face mask in a public place.

The World Health Organisation (WHO) on July 7 urged people to wear face masks on planes as coronavirus cases continue to increase worldwide. WHO spokesperson Margaret Harris reportedly urged people to understand the reimposition of quarantine measures and not get caught off-guard by it. Harris said, "If it's anywhere, it's everywhere and people travelling have to understand that. This virus is widespread and people have to take that very, very seriously." 

Facebook's New Feature To Remind People To Wear Face Masks Amid Rising COVID-19 Cases

Facebook on July 2 announced that with the rise in coronavirus cases in the United States it is putting an alert at the top of feeds to remind people to wear face coverings. The social media giant further said that the alert will also be available at the top of Instagram feeds. Users will be able to find more prevention tips by clicking on a link available on both the platforms that will take them to the CDC website or Facebook's information center.

"Facebook is supporting the global public health community’s work to keep people safe and informed during the coronavirus public health crisis," the social media giant said in a statement on July 2.
