‘I Dont Support This’, Sidharth Malhotra Reacts To Fan Alleging Scam Of ₹50 Lakhs In His Name

Sidharth Malhotra issued a statement to clarify that he is not in the know of any malpractice taking place in his name as a fan alleges being duped of ₹50 Lacs.

Sidharth Malhotra has taken to his social media account to address the recent scam brought to light by one of his fans. After a fan alleged being duped of Rs 50 Lakhs by a page run in the actor’s name, the Yodha actor issued a statement to clarify that he was not in the know of such malpractice. He also urged social media users to exercise caution during their online activity.

On June 3, as soon as reports of a fan being duped of ₹50 Lakhs surfaced, actor Sidharth Malhotra took to his Instagram account to pen a statement. He sympathised with the victims of the fraud and clarified that him or his family does not support it. He also requested his fans and well-wishers to report all cautious activities to the authorities. 

His statement read, "It has been brought to my attention that certain fraudulent activities/scams have been circulating on various social media platforms, allegedly claiming to be associated with or in relation to me, my family and people claiming to be my fans and seeking money." He added, “I want to assure everyone reading this that neither I nor my family or team support any of this. I urge all of you to exercise caution when dealing with such matters. If you receive any suspicious requests, report them to the appropriate authorities and avoid spreading false information.” Sidharth added, “My fans have always been my biggest strength and your trust and safety are my top priorities.” He also reiterated in his statement that he’s aware of those ‘claiming to be associated with or in relation to (him), (his) family and people claiming to be (his) fans and seeking money." 

Sidharth Malhotra fans detail how she was scammed 


On June 30, Minoo, who identifies as a fan of Sidharth Malhotra took to her X (formerly Twitter) account to share a series of baffling details about the actor and his team. She shared that a person reached out to her on Instagram, claiming to be a part of the actor’s team. She further added that the person shared shocking claims about how he did not want to marry Kiara but was coerced into the same. She also recalled being told that Kiara was assaulting the actor, threatening his life, and his family and putting hurdles in his professional life.

A part of her post read, “Dear @sidmalhotra & all Sidians, My name is Minoo Vasudevan from USA. There is a serious incident you all should know about admins Aliza & Husna Parveen, @sidmalhotra.updates. Between October 2023 to December 2023, they stole 50 lakhs from me. Between October 18th-24th 2023, they stole 10.5K rupees from my friend in the UK, Maariya. Disclaimer: Some chats & evidence during this time have been deleted. However, I have crucial ones as evidence.” However, the authenticity of the same could not be ensured.
