What do we know about Emergency?

The movie is based on true events that unfolded in 1975. The chronicles of incidents took place under the leadership of Mrs Indira Gandhi, one of the most powerful women in Indian history. Apart from Kangana, the movie also stars Anupam Kher, Shreyas Talpade, Mahima Chaudhry and Milind Soman in pivotal roles.

For the unversed, Emergency was banned in Bangladesh due to political tensions between India and Bangladesh. According to officials, the decision was more related to the current diplomatic dynamics between the two nations than the film's content.
