Kangana Ranaut sums up 2023 ahead of New Year, recalls feeling out of place

Kangana Ranaut reflected on her past year and shared her insights for the year 2023. The actress, who made her Bollywood debut with the 2006 romantic thriller Gangster opposite Emraan Hashmi, recalled feeling out of place in the industry. She emphasised that if one feels uncomfortable, one should "remember you are on your way home.”

Kangana Ranaut pens a note summarising her 2023 

Kangana took to her Instagram stories on Sunday, December 31, and talked about her year. The actress penned, “I grew up with an inbuilt feeling of being out of place, I made the home of my dreams, farms, and cottages, I felt happy, l felt content, l also felt at peace but I never felt at home. Slowly it became evident that maybe we are not meant to settle in this body, it's a fleeting phase and we must recognise that and never try to be at home.”

“Ever since I acknowledged that I am at home... This was my learning of 2023. If you feel out of place and feel that you fail to belong anywhere, remember you are on your way home,” added the Queen star.

Kangana Ranaut’s year in films 

Kangana Ranaut has had a challenging year with her past few releases. Chandramukhi 2 and Tejas, her recent films, did not perform well at the box office. Her action movie Dhaakad did not do well last year either.

But the actress has a lot of exciting things in store for 2024. Her much anticipated political drama, Emergency, will feature her as the former Prime Minister of India, Indira Gandhi. She also gave fans a sneak peek at a new movie in which she will reunite with R Madhavan, her co-star from Tanu Weds Manu.

In addition, according to recent rumors, Kangana has signed a significant project from the South Indian film industry. Reportedly, the movie's title is Bhairavi.
