Kartik Aaryan is gearing up for the release of his film Chandu Champion. The sports drama is directed by Kabir Khan and will be released on June 14. The actor is one of the few celebrities who boasts a successful career in films despite not belonging to a film family. Kartik Aaryan boasts a career of 13 years and shared his opinions on nepotism, in a new interview.
Kartik Aaryan says outsiders always feel fearful
In a conversation with DNA, Kartik Aaryan shared that not hailing from a film family keeps him on the edge of always trying to prove himself. The actor opines that the fear does not go away even after starring in many films. He said, “You always feel the same. When you are from the outside, that fear remains, and it never goes away. You don’t get those extra opportunities. You have to make sure that this is my last film and I have to give my 200% here. If anything goes wrong in this, you’re gone.”
In the same conversation he also shared that no matter how many successful films he delivers, the fear to prove himself will always stay. He said, “That thought always remains. That was in the beginning and is there now, and maybe will remain in the future too. I don’t think that thought will go away. I have now spent enough time in the industry and done enough films but it doesn’t leave you.”
Kartik Aaryan holds nothing against ‘insiders’
In the same conversation, Kartik Aaryan also shared that he has nothing against ‘insiders’. He said, “It’s not someone’s fault that he or she is born to a family that belongs to films. But that happens in this industry. If someone from my family makes a film, I can approach them. It’s not a wrong thing to do that. But those opportunities go sometimes and you have to make your own way.”
Kartik aaryan will be seen next in Chandu Champion. The actor plays the role of a war hero-turned-paralympic champion Murlikant Petkar. He will also be seen in the third instalment of the horror-comedy franchise Bhool Bhulaiyaa featuring Triptii Dimri and Vidya Balan. The film is scheduled to release on Diwali.
